Alexandre Benalla
Founding President
Alexandre Benalla is a French expert in global security, strategic intelligence and cybersecurity. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, he founded Institut Vidocq to advance independent research and public discourse on the security challenges that define our era.
His career in security began at 18 as a reserve officer in the French Gendarmerie Nationale. He went on to serve as a senior security official during François Hollande's presidential campaign, provided close protection to members of the Saudi royal family, and served as head of security for the European Patent Office. In 2016, at 25, he joined Emmanuel Macron's campaign as head of security, before serving as deputy chief of staff at the Élysée Palace, where he coordinated presidential security operations and contributed to foiling two assassination attempts on the President.
He is also the founder and CEO of COMYA, a Geneva-based strategic advisory firm specialising in global security, economic intelligence and cyber resilience. He is regularly consulted as a security expert by international media including Al Arabiya, Blick and En Toute Sécurité.
